Bored & Hungry: a drive to the mountains

During the summer or even the winter consider taking a drive up to the mountains. As some say “I’m gonna take a drive to clear my mind.” Taking a trip to the mountains can be a way of releasing stress, or even just time to think. Even if it’s just to look at the scenery or just to take pictures, there are many reasons why local residents in Fort Collins like to drive up to Horsetooth.

When I interviewed sophomore Grace Geraghty, I asked her what is her favorite thing to do in the mountains. “My favorite thing to do in the mountains is first of all enjoy the view.” Grace continued to explain that she’d try to spot great horned sheep on the rocks. “I also love to hike, getting more of the scenery. If it’s winter, then I ski.”

Taking a trip to the mountains can be really enjoyable for someone who loves the view and who loves to interact with the Colorado environment.
